I’m a Mexican triathlete based on Mexico City. When a kid, I was always on the move, martial arts, basketball, swimming, running, you name it! Thanks to my dad, I tried triathlon and fell in love with it.
Surviving school and a very light training, I found my way into my first international event representing my country as a Junior: ’98 Panamerican Championships (finished 11th). After that, I focused a bit on Med School wich after 3 years switched to Arts School, and with that change came a few years of great results in the sport in 2009 as an age group, when the decision of turning Pro came along.
After a few years of struggling with no results, changed the hole picture and moved to Guadalajara to train with the best. As a result of that change, personal times got better and podiums started coming as a pro!
Today I’m back in Mexico City, training as hard as possible and watching over my team, with the goal of becoming a professional world-class triathlete within the half distance, a great coach, a better paintor, traveler and deepsleeper… all with a big smile on my face!
